Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve products, techniques, procedures, and technologies. You will design and develop new ideas and solutions for new product development as well as current products modification and improvements based on in-service issues and market strategy. You are responsible for design and implementation of mechanical parts, subassemblies and product improvements
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical documentation preparation and maintenance
- Support to PB/PBA design projects
- Support to project lead
- Utilizes CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings, material part specifications, and bills of materials
- Attending mechanical peer reviews and presenting in customer reviews
- Design failure mode effect analysis (DFMEA) and design for manufacture (DFM)
- Participation in productivity improvement projects
- Support to thermal, structural and durability analysis
- Test equipment design
- Regular interaction with suppliers and manufacturing engineering
- Technical interactions with customers and subcontractors
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience with DO-160 standards
WE VALUE
- Experience with CREO/Siemens NX
- Experience with Tolerance Analysis and GD&T tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Knowledge of Team Center
- Understanding of PBA build processes
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design, including thermal and structural analysis
- Familiarity with FEA tools
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work
- Some experience developing products or sustaining existing products
- Some experience in a highly regulated and safety critical domain
- Good knowledge of mechanical industry
