Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Software Engineer professional, who will be part of an exciting great career opportunity on a high-performing cross-functional software development team at Bank of America. This individual will be fully engaged in hands-on coding of new functional enhancements, risk mitigation, and ongoing maintenance of applications used in the Consumer Credit Card new account acquisition and servicing business. The successful candidate will be professional, energetic, self-motivated, have a Customer focused mindset, a passion for writing code, and extensive experience working with technical leads, peer developers, testers and end-users in an Agile work setting, with teammates both locally and distributed across the globe.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing software applications using Angular and Java/J2EE frameworks.
  • Experience in Database programing tools (Oracle Database - SQL/PLSQL, Shell Scripting (Unix)), Hibernate, Spring Framework (Spring Boot/Rest API).
  • Experience using version control/project tracking/CI/CD tools like GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible.

Required Skills:
-Must have at least 5 years of work experience as a Full Stack Java Software Engineer in the industry.
-Strong Core Java in Enterprise Java 8
-Experience in Angular 8 & JS development
-Hands-on experience in Java 1.7 or higher, J2EE, SOAP & REST Web services, JSON, SQL, PL/SQ, and/or UNIX Scripting
-Hands on experience in Spring MVC, Spring IOC, Spring JDBC / Spring Data JPA, Oracle and/or Spring Boot.
-RESTful services principles experience.
-Comfortable with Enterprise integrations & Software Engineering design patterns
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at different levels within the organization, including project stakeholders, technical teams, end users and senior management.
-Experience interacting with Business product owners and end users to define new software requirements and triage any issues that arise
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
-Experience working with Agile methodology
-Experience in design, development, testing and implementation of Web based applications.
-Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and SDM model for CI/CD processes and associated tools
-Experience with Implementation and release management activities
-Experience writing technical designs

Desired Skills:
-Experience developing Micro Services
-Experience performing peer reviews, including refactoring existing application code to meet standardization and quality requirements
-IBM WebSphere, Java Swing or Hibernate experience
-XSLT and Xml Technologies and data transformation experience
-Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members (India & USA) and multitask effectively
-Demonstrated experience with Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Jira, Maven, CI/CD
-Experience with resource-oriented architecture
-Experience investigating and recommending best practices and improvements for the build system or other processes as appropriate
-Strong proclivity to follow coding standards and execute a best practices approach in build processes
-Experience with using Test automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Tosca, EFT, Junit etc. and scripting knowledge with some of the testing tools
