Job Description:

Senior Technical Consultant – Signal Engineering – USA

Parsons is now hiring a Sr. Technical Consultant to contribute to Existing projects such as New Jersey Transit Positive Train Control (PTC) project, CBTC projects in the New York Area and other areas. This is a full- time position with benefits.

In this role, you will be responsible for writing proposals, Checking Railway Signal PTC Designs and Wayside PTC Circuits, Trouble Shooting PTC systems which may include reviewing/writing tests documentation/procedures/test and aiding with reports on train control related systems and components, primarily at back office, wayside locations and on-board locomotives and cab railcars, and implementing new PTC peripheral systems. You will work closely with our Signal Engineering Team to coordinate specific test work plans to adhere to various project schedules. Your duties will include monitoring and reporting progress of design, implementation and commissioning activities on projects with our clients of all activities.

ADDITIONAL Requirements:


15+ years of rail system experience focusing on signal/ train control systems testing, implementation, and/or commissioning.
Proficient in testing and commissioning of signal/PTC systems
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent education, experience and aptitude 
Ability and past experience with Railroad Signaling with CAB signals and ACSES PTC like systems.
Must have working knowledge of signaling products and "vital" and "nonvital" circuit concepts
Technical experience within systems integration and testing in development projects, is required. 
Must have good understanding of HW and SW interactions within complex systems architectures. 
Must have good written and spoken communication skills

Salary Range: 

$121,900.00 - $219,400.00
