Location:        Tallahassee, FL
Schedule:       Monday -Friday from 8am-5pm (60min daily break; OT available – not required)
Starts:              ASAP
Hire type:        *Temp-to-hire 
    *position may be opportunity for direct/long-term employment, depending on employee performance during trial period, and internal company factors. Pay:                 *$22-25/h (depending on relevant skills and experience)
    *starting pay-rate; pay rate may be re-visited for good performance and/or if the company pursues you for permanent/direct employment, after the temp/trial assignment. Will become salaried position, if offered direct/perm employment after temp/trial period thru Kelly
Summary/Duties:       

Accounting Responsibilities
-Perform a variety of complex accounting tasks involved in maintaining financial records and processing related data, prepare budget proposals as directed, monitor, verify and reconcile accounts, prepare, review and distribute internal management financial statements
-Perform detailed variance analysis of financial results, including research to source documents such as invoices, payments and other information as required
-Prepare and process payroll
-Process daily bank transfers
-Process internal interpretations read by physicians
-Process other draft bi-weekly to ensure expenses are recovered from appropriate locations
-Oversee AP process, assist with entering invoices as needed
-Maintain medical malpractice spreadsheet to ensure all data and amounts are accurate
-Prepare and coordinate departmental budgets as directed, to include preparing budgetary projections according to established guidelines, assist in the preparation and coordination of loan or lease proposals and monitor, verify and reconcile loan or lease funds and principle and interest payments
-Develop enhancements to current systems and processes to increase or maintain productivity and efficiency
-Analyze financial transactions and properly record activity in the books and records of the corporation
-Prepare journal entries and produce detailed general ledgers, financial reports and financial analysis on an ongoing and timely basis
-Maintain accurate and timely reconciliation of all company accounts and other bank activity
-Exercise technical skill in accounting matters
Strategic Analysis
-Perform detailed analysis of specific accounts as directed , assist in the preparation of reports documenting trends and other analysis to senior management, develop and perform accounting control functions, reconcile automated controls against sub-ledgers in Peachtree
-Analyze financial information and prepare complex financial reports and statements reflecting various data for utilization by higher management
Personnel Cooperation/Support
-Maintain interface and relationship with departmental and office personnel to obtain and provide information to verify or support financial records and ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures and federal and state tax regulations, prepare correspondence and answer inquiries regarding accounting information as required
-Maintain accurate records of departmental and physician office financial statements, informing appropriate staff members of financial status as directed
-Work with physicians’ offices and departments to resolve payroll, tax or other financial issues
-Supervise the preparation of various financial and accounting forms and logs
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and three years related work experience; or a high school diploma or equivalency and seven years related work experience
*3 years’ experience in an accounting setting to become familiar with the accepted accounting practices involved in maintaining complex financial records, reconciling accounting information and preparing financial statements

*Must be able to pass a financial credit check
*Ability to use independent judgement when making decisions
*Ability to understand financial transactions, research problems, develop and implement solutions
*Ability to maintain confidentiality
*Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively in speaking and writing
*Ability to work well with non-financial professionals
*Ability to work productively while managing multiple priorities
*Work requires knowledge of general accounting principles usually through 2 years post-secondary education in accounting or a related business field
*Understand accounting principles and theory; requires working knowledge of software as required to support job responsibilities
*Strong aptitude for learning; trainable
*Ability to multi-task
*Strong attention to detail; persistent
*Self-driven; able to complete tasks without direct supervision
*Ambitious & professional
*Interest in the position on a long-term/indefinite basis (at least 12 months, or more)
