Job Description: Please note special application instructions below. The Director and ADA Coordinator will provide oversight and coordination for University disability initiatives and will be responsible for assuring compliance with the ADA as amended, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities, particularly relating to education and employment; filing all necessary reports; and providing consultative services to various units and offices across campus. Works with the leadership of Equal Opportunity, Inclusion, and Resolution Services to ensure that appropriate processes are in place to provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and inquiries from University employees and students, as well as the public, regarding University policies and the ADA and other applicable federal and state laws pertaining to discrimination on the basis of disability. Serves a key liaison across and beyond the campus, providing strategic resource planning for all University services, facilities, policies, and procedures relating to, as well as the promotion of, University opportunities for persons with disabilities that may go beyond compliance with federal and state law.
