Job Description: The Department of Biology at Syracuse University ( biology.syr.edu ) is seeking applications for a non-tenure-track Professor of Practice to teach Biotechnology undergraduate and graduate level classes in our multidisciplinary biotechnology programs, starting in fall 2022. In addition to a 3+2 teaching load, the successful applicant will provide input into curricular and co-curricular programing to ensure better preparation for work in industry. They will also contribute to student recruitment, student advising, program management, and internship placements. This position will initially have a renewable contract of three years. Professors of Practice are full members of the departmental and university community and are eligible to vote on department, college and university decisions excluding tenure-track faculty hiring and promotion and tenure decisions.
