Vice President, Global Equities Trading Analytics Data Dev Ops - Military Veterans

About the Role
Bank of America Global Equities Trading Analytics team is building a data and analytics platform to empower the trader with analytics and service the trading platforms. We are looking at a hiring Data DevOps to own, oversee and manage the data environment to support the global growth of the platform

This is an Equities front office role sitting on the trading floor and operates in the fast pace Equities trading environment.
Responsibilities:
Be the "owner" of the production data Environment
  • Build, enhance and maintain data infrastructure in UAT and production environments
    • This include Databases, Real-time streaming data, Tic Data, ETL,...
  • Provide strategic and tactical solutions to current business problems.
    • Focus on forward data uses and leverage data to build out solutions that can be leveraged
    • Work closely with various equity desks to build out essential data dashboards that can be leveraged during system failures/monitor edge cases
  • Work with product owners to ensure existing and new apps enrich data in meaningful ways that will enable ease of data usage.
  • Own data as a product.
  • Collaborate with Data Product teams, Engineering and Support partners to improve infrastructure stability, monitoring, and alerting.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in a DevOps or Support role focused on Data operations
  • Strong communication skills and be the advocate for Data DevOps principles and practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and mitigate difficult and complex technical problems
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Python and SQL
  • Have experience with Incident and Problem Management processes, root cause analysis and business reporting and communication
  • Experience with streaming data technologies (AMPS/Kafka/EMS/..)
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
  • A unrelenting drive to automate
Good to have
  • Experience with real time tradingand technology systems
  • Knowledge of equities, options, FX, or futures trading microstructure (tick data)
  • Public/Private Cloud Experience
  • Experience with Visualization tools (tableau)
