Job Description:

Global Markets and Financial Risk (GMFR) provides independent risk oversight of the firm's Global Markets and CFO activities, including direct coverage of market, liquidity and capital risks. The GMFR COO team is looking for a candidate to join the Executive Reporting and Strategy function, responsible for setting and driving GMFR strategic priorities, executive communication, and reporting on key risks and strategy across GMFR to both Senior Management and the Board. The candidate will be responsible for conducting analysis and partnering with Risk Managers and Business to identify key risks and trends. The required analysis includes, but is not limited to, a review of portfolio exposures, market and economic conditions, operational and compliance trends, business strategies, and peer performance. The candidate is expected to present key risks to GMFR Senior Management to agree on thematic messaging which will be used for communication to Senior Management and the Board. Additionally, the candidate will support executive routines, strategic communications as well as strategic projects for GMFR CRO.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Support GMFR CRO in driving strategic priorities
  • Provide support for executive routines such as Quarterly Business Reviews, working with applicable SMEs for inputs as required
  • Support executive communication strategy, reporting and execution including but not limited to infusion of leadership messaging and content into existing communications/routines and development of additional or ad hoc communications as needed
  • Run or support governance and/or regulatory routines to facilitate key deliverables
  • Lead initiatives, both on an end-to-end basis and/or discrete sub-components
  • Supports planning, management and tracking of strategic priorities and influences progression where appropriate, owning key projects as needed
  • Coordinates and drives effective management routines related to the above as appropriate
  • Support GMFR COO in coordinating training & development within GMFR, driving engagement and supporting recruiting efforts as needed

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field
  • Understanding of Global Markets business or market risk area
  • Strong writing and presentation capabilities, with ability to synthesize information and tell a story
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, produce appropriate changes and implement goals
  • Ability to develop comprehensive plans around key engagement/development priorities and ensure all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities
  • Ability to think strategically across GMFR to identify opportunities to impact associate engagement and development
  • Strong partnership and relationship building skills with the ability to influence
  • Effectively and efficiently coordinates and drives execution of engagement/development priorities across the broader GRM organization
  • Ability to track performance and analyze data/progress metrics to benchmark against short and long-term goals
  • Acts as trusted advisor across GMFR and with key stakeholders across the broader organization
