Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

System Engineer
- General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned
- Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision.
- Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources
- Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
- Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
- Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
- Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

You'll bring these qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a systems and Principal systems Engineer level.
Systems Engineer
- BS - Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- A minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years with a Master's
- BS - Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- A Minimum of 5 years with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years with a Master's degree; or 0 years with a PhD)
- U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Ability to obtain DoD Special Access Program Clearance
Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the systems engineering
- Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the systems engineering 'V'
- Previous experience in Software and Hardware design
- Previous experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specification, and Interface Description Documents.
- Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple developers.
- Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.
- Experience with weapon systems
- Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with CAMEO EA
- Experience with Architecture languages such as UPDM, UML, SysML.
- Experience exporting documentation out of a Model-based environment.
- Experience with Agile Development
Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
