Job Description

The Senior Associate will work in Fannie Mae Treasury and serve in a support role for hedging and investment related activities. As a valued colleague on our team, you will assist in risk management, creating reports, analyzing data, and engaging in capital markets.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Treasury Capital Markets - Risk Management and Investments - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Build proficiency with internal data sources and external market data sources (Bloomberg, Tradeweb, etc)
  • Advance understanding of financial markets, derivatives and investment products
  • Track market activities; provide pricing and transactional support to the team
  • Develop understanding of internal valuation and risk models for assets, liabilities and derivatives on the balance sheet. Leverage models to assist with analysis
  • Participate in team discussions and cultivate strong relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to process of technology improvements across various analytics and database tools. Participate in testing systems and enhancements
  • Update desk procedures and look for opportunities to improve processes

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 2 years related experience in finance and/or capital markets
Desired Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Very strong data analysis, modelling, statistical analysis and spreadsheet skills
  • Programming experience a plus
  • Intellectual curiosity and natural desire to smell-test results and drill down into the details
  • A good theoretical understanding of financial concepts
  • Ability to balance and prioritize various tasks
  • Experience working on a trading desk or risk management a plus
