About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Treasury Analyst in the Data Services team in Corporate Asset Liability Management (ALM).


In this role, you will:

  • Plan and set policies and guidelines for managing global treasury activities including funding, liquidity risk management, asset and liability management, capital management, financial performance management, and related activities
  • Monitor and evaluate global market conditions, asset liability and liquidity risk management
  • Provide overall advisory on treasury finance risk
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies, accounting and consulting firms
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 2+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Data Science or other applicable field
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting OR graduation from a Finance Internship / Management Program
  • Finance and balance sheet knowledge
  • Math and analytical skills
  • Excel skills


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, or big data concepts

Job Expectations:

  • This role will be a part of the monthly CURP production process, where the "Current Position" is rolled forward from one month to the next. Position changes are assessed with a specific focus on how those changes impact the corporate forecast of Net Interest Income and Wells Fargo's Economic Value of Equity. This person will assist in the analysis and reporting of these changes.

The Data Services team in Corporate Asset Liability Management (ALM) is looking for an inquisitive problem solver with critical reasoning and communication skills. This role is at the center of Wells Fargo with a holistic view of the entire balance sheet of the corporation. Each month, Data Services carefully evaluates over 1 billion data points using SQL Server, SAS, Tableau, Essbase, and Excel searching for data quality issues, changes in trend, and other changes that will significantly impact Wells Fargo's profitability. The month-over-month changes are then presented to business partners and the resulting impacts to market value and forecast are assessed.
