Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary This role will manage the strategy for partnership engagement and business development for Olinâ™s Executive Education. This includes programs offered in St. Louis, Washington, DC and virtually. This manager will identify, establish and build new relationships with key senior leaders in target companies nationwide to promote Executive Education opportunities. This role is key to building long-term relationships based on value creation for external partners.They will need to take a data-driven approach to build an outreach plan based on targets and in alignment with the overall school strategy. Works closely with Olin leadership, Corporate Relations, University and Olin Advancement to identify alumni and prospective organizations to develop new partners across industries.Olinâ™s Executive Education is strategically important to the schoolâ™s brand awareness, growth plans and alumni engagement, both nationally and globally. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Business Development Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify potential relationships with target organizations. Collaborates with Olin Corporate Relations communication on product portfolio, learning outcomes and benefits for business and government partnerships. Works with existing contacts to develop relationships with key decision makers in senior leadership of target companies. Attends networking events to represent Olin and develop new contacts for Olinâ™s business development team inside the Weston Career Center to generate leads for Executive Education. Develops leads created from Olin Corporate Relations efforts. C ollaborates with program director and managers to understand feedback on program execution to ensure continued impact for current and new relationships. Develops Go-To-Market Strategy Collaborates with leadership and internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Corporate Relations, Business Development and Industry Directors to develop and update the strategy for go-to-market outreach based on product portfolio, including St. Louis, WashU at Brookings and virtual offerings. Develops strategy that identifies target companies and key sectors with which Olin has the potential to establish new relationships. Collaborates with Corporate Relations, Industry Directors and Olin Advancement to implement the plan. Partners with Olin Marketing & Communications to develop effective marketing plans and tactics. Business and Industry Knowledge Contributes to the overall business development strategy through knowledge of market trends in professional development and Olinâ™s differentiated product offerings. Collaborates with management team to advise on market positioning and potential growth areas.   Administration Ensures contacts and related information in the Olin CRM system are current, including engagement records. Contributes to the annual budgeting cycle and prepare monthly activity reports. Working Conditions Travel to on and off-campus locations including conferences and events as needed. Preferred Qualification Masterâ™s degree in business, or in a related field. Three years of experience in marketing, business development or sales. Experience in business development team or sales organization. Experience in education/learning environment. Outgoing personality and ability to build relationships. Sufficient business acumen to understand a wide range of businesses. Self-directed: Ability to work independently as needed with little supervision. Strong ability to influence. Commitment to designing and delivering on external strategies. Use of data driven tools, including CRM, Power BI, Tableau. Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary. Willingness to travel up to 20% of time, both domestically and internationally. Required Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree and five years experience or graduate degree plus three years of experience in sales, marketing or business development. Grade G13 Salary Range $62,000.00 - $106,000.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
