Team Overview:
The Transformation, Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement team is a function within the Global Markets Operations (GMO) organization. This organization is responsible for managing many of the GMO strategic and regulatory initiatives, provide oversight for all large-scale transformation projects and operational excellence, simplify and improve efforts and the global change strategy and portfolio for GMO.

Role Description:
This dynamic role directly supports/partners with the Fixed Income Operations team who performs end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across Fixed Income businesses globally. Fixed Income Operations is part of Global Market Operations who provide operational support to the Global Markets Business including as an example, Equities, Derivatives, FX, Commodities, Futures & Options and Collateral. Are you up for the challenge to:
  • Lead Change and Transformation for Global Fixed Income Trade Control as the primary New York face of to the Business, Technology and FICC Operations Leads in New York City.
  • Support the Change and Transformation book of work including large multiyear funded programs such as Global Markets Front to Back, Trade Control Workstation, TRACE reporting, Comprehensive Intraday Risk for Trading and Operational Excellence
  • Thrive on fluid change; build structure, develop networks and utilize best in class project governance routines to deliver across the organization.
  • Engage high level of stakeholders across Trading, Finance, Technology and Operations, in addition to building relationships with external vendors and dealers.

Responsibilities:
  • Relationship manager and business face off to key SLT stakeholders, representing the wider GMO Transformation group, collaborating with the Business, Technology, Operations and Risk
  • Driving innovation and change both in process, risk management, culture and technology
  • Process Design / Re-engineering
  • Deliver at a global scale
  • Opportunities to work with senior leadership to shape the business
  • Day to day management and development of a global team, including indirect GBS team
  • Ensure all programs have best in class governance framework and control

Core Skills:
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels and manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
  • An understanding of the business and markets supported by Markets Operations, including risk management
  • Experience driving large programs across the organization with the ability to navigate effectively to deliver on time
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply project governance (documentation/reporting, tollgates, identifying risks/watch items etc.) to change
  • Good organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize, meet deadlines and also pay attention to the detail
  • Ability to understand and work through complex problems and transfer that ability and knowledge to the teams
  • Motivated self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguous or fluid requirements
  • Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions
