Job Description

The Climate Team at Fannie Mae was created to address the inspiring, but daunting, goal of leading the company-wide response to climate related risks, including ESG-related analytics. We need to accelerate our impact in this space as customers', regulators' and our employees' expectations continue to rise and evolve with respect to growing climate related concerns.

As Product Management Senior Associate, you will be responsible for helping execute product-specific strategy, ideation, road mapping, feature refinement and delivery. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver solutions based on customer requirements, ensure delivery of the optimal backend solution, and maintain strategic alignment to our objectives.

The Climate Impact - Product Management - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Support senior leadership on vision and strategy for high complexity products and/or multiple products.
  • Understand and anticipate stakeholder needs and wants through research of market trends, customer feedback, current state analysis and user testing
  • Continually educate product and cross-functional team members on business process and customer value of product capabilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams (e.g., engineering, design, analytics) to define product roadmap, high level prioritization, product value metrics, and execution trade-off decisions
  • Manage continuous stakeholder engagement for the product team to understand needs, define epics and features, and gain feedback on design and working software.
  • Manage product roadmap dependencies across products.
  • Manage product roadmaps and backlog.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 2 years of product management experience
  • Strong understanding of agile development practices
  • Demonstrated the ability to gather business requirements from stakeholders and converting them to functional and non-functional requirements that can be understood by multiple audiences
  • Experienced in decomposing/simplifying complex requirements into minor components for faster implementation with good business value
  • Good experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and demonstrate the knowledge by working well with business partners at different levels within the organization
  • Experienced in analyzing and identifying the contributing factors to a problem/issue and presenting options for a good resolution
Desired Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated passion for financial markets, building consumer apps, social impact, and the Fannie Mae mission
  • Basic awareness of AWS services and cloud product implementation
  • Skilled in presenting information to audience that is engaging and easy to understand
