Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary This position is critical to the success of all Siteman Cancer Center (SCC) development efforts, serving as the touchpoint for all initiatives. This position requires great discretion in communicating with high-level donors and volunteers, as well as handling confidential and sensitive information regarding prospects, donors, and employees. Position responsibilities include high-level project management, in-depth technology usage, and customer service. This position effectively increases the gift officersâ™ ability to focus time and resources on direct fundraising and provides project and/or program coordination and/or administrative support for program areas and support functions of assigned area. Job Description This position requires the ability/availability to work overtime, evenings and weekends as necessary. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Project and Gift Processing Management: Serves as project manager of several complex projects as assigned. In coordination with other departments, manages Siteman proposals and gift officer portfolios. Manages extensive data mining and reporting projects. Oversees all Siteman gift processing, monitors the daily gift report, and partners with Sitemanâ™s administrative assistant to manage all gift acknowledgments and tribute notifications.  Customer Service: Serves as primary liaison to external constituents seeking initial information on how to support Siteman. Ensures prospective donors or third-party organizers are connected with the correct SCC director or University Advancement colleague. Manages all calls received by the SCC general gift line. Serves as the âfront doorâ? contact for SCC donors and prospects. To ensure efficiency and productive internal partnerships, builds and maintains strong relationships with administrative support professionals across SCC and Washington University Medical School enterprise. Administrative: Serves as the primary assistant to the Executive Director of Advancement and two directors including management of calendar, telephone support, filing, scheduling meetings, word processing. Manages program expense process for both the Siteman University Advancement budget and the Siteman Cancer Center WUSM budget. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree. Previous project management experience.   Professional and knowledge of university systems. Highly motivated individual with a strong ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize competing assignments with little or no supervision. Ability to exercise considerable initiative and judgment in planning and carrying out assignments. Proficiency with computers and software packages including Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with precise attention to detail. Team player with courteous interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships. Ability to handle confidential information in a discrete and responsible manner. Ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the partnership that exists between Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Honesty, integrity, and enthusiasm; a very strong work ethic, supported by commitment and follow-through.  Appreciation of the importance of special projects.  Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent high school certification plus three years of work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade G08-H Salary Range $19.56 - $30.35 / Hourly The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
