Position Description: A postdoctoral research scholar position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine Division to study molecular pathways and neural circuitry in cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Research in the lab utilizes a combination of integrative cardiovascular, neurophysiological and molecular approaches in genetically modified mice. Duties and responsibilities: The postdoctoral scholar will be self-motivated and will conduct research in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include experimental design, acquisition and analysis of research data, maintaining notebook, troubleshooting experiments, training students and research assistants, manuscript preparation, and presentation of research findings at lab meetings and scientific conferences. An individualized mentoring support will be provided to the postdoctoral scholar to develop creative ideas and approaches for independent research projects.
