About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to join the Decision Sciences team within the Front-Line Monitoring Group in Consumer and Small Business Banking. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at

The key focus of this role is to leverage advanced data analytics and programming techniques to develop and implement data driven monitoring, surveillance, and workflow solutions to identify and mitigate operational, compliance and conduct risks.

The individual will work closely with cross-functional business partners in areas such as Consumer and Small Business Banking LOB, Frontline Control, Centralized Supervision, Legal, Compliance, etc., to prioritize and address monitoring and surveillance needs related to operational, compliance, and conduct risks.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence statistical modeling, analytical strategies, and advanced data visualization for complex business and technical needs
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques, advance data from multiple sources, and mathematics behind data analysis across the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and coordination of highly complex activities
  • Design and lead complex projects, analyses, and application of techniques across the enterprise
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise
  • Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong SAS and SQL experience utilizing large scale databases – Teradata, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience with Unix platforms and Shell Scripting
  • Experience with Big Data platforms and tools such as Aster, Hadoop, Python, R, etc.
  • Experience with developing predictive analytics using Bayesian, Path Analysis, Text Analytics, and other AI/Machine Learning techniques.
  • Excellent business insight and strategic orientation in translating analytics into business actions and results
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
