LinQuest is seeking a Modernized GPS User Equipment (MGUE) Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of MGUE engineering products, such as system specifications, requirements allocation products, system architecture, design analyses, interface descriptions, software products, and verification products
  • Interact with the MGUE government leads and prime contractors to ensure that system requirements and interfaces are consistent and valid across the GPS Enterprise
  • Support the GPS Directorate in defining, capturing, and maintaining the MGUE technical, schedule, and cost risk data throughout the system lifecycle as well as developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changes
  • Develop, document, execute, integrate and evolve MGUE systems engineering processes to enable effective GPS systems engineering and integration efforts
  • Write and deliver high-quality engineering documents suitable for distribution to SE&I technical staff/management and customer decision-makers
  • Active participation in program discussions and meetings resulting in the submission of technical analysis and recommendations to customers


Required Experience:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical, Communications Engineering (technical), Math, Physics, or similar.
  • 15+ years’ experience.
  • Understanding of fundamental requirements development and management processes.
  • Extremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with Space systems (especially at SMC), GPS, and ground and space system acquisition.
  • Experience with requirements and interface management, risk management, change boards and change board environment.
  • Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as organizational skill.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
