Requisition Number: S_220411 Department: University Television-0912 Description of Work: Produce compelling, creative and high quality broadcast and digital content for Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska's PBS and NPR Station! Bring Nebraska's stories to life with content that explores the state's diverse people, places, events and cultures. Create exciting short & long-form content through EFP and live studio productions. Be a part of our award-winning team and produce projects similar to: What If..., Beyond the Baton, JAM , Savor and Nebraska Stories . Experience producing non-fiction television content from start to finish. Strong writing and original storytelling skills are vital to this position. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field plus three years of experience originating, developing, writing, and producing non-fiction television content essential; equivalent education/experience considered. Skill in television production, copywriting and editing; knowledge of current events, computer literacy. Strong writing and original story-telling skills. Familiarity with EFP , multi-camera studio and remote production. Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years' experience originating, developing, writing, and producing non-fiction television content. Experience with budgeting, multi-camera productions, long form writing and producing, digital content production, live sports production, and directing live multi-camera studio and remote productions. Skill in: Hands-on nonlinear editing; single camera videography; and, intern supervision and mentoring. Posted Salary: Negotiable Job Type: Full-Time
