Job Description:

The Payment Innovation Lead will report to the Emerging Payments & Strategy Executive with primary responsibilities:
  • Define processes to capture, validate and prioritize payment innovation concepts across the enterprise for targeted innovation themes primarily focused on Bill Pay, Transfers, Zelle and Enhanced Card Management
  • Deliver projects prioritized on the roadmap, and evaluate new payment innovation concepts across Enterprise Payments, business stakeholders and technology
  • Lead by example in driving solutions to scale as commercial offerings
  • Structure and execute proofs of concepts to validate solution suitability and business case, while also coaching/mentoring others.

This is an individual contributor role working across consumer, small business, wealth, and corporate banking client segments. Key areas of focus will be related to merchant acquiring, small business, and Zelle.
Structured Thinking: Being able to understand business processes, identify problems, and take a logical approach on how we could drive improvement. Intellectual Curiosity: Ability to take on complex business problems and learn about new approaches that can drive value to the organization Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate complex topics and translate between business and IT stakeholders,
Strong problem-solving skills, including situation analysis, problem identification, and solution recommendation strategies. Collaborative team-player with high emotional intelligence.

Required Skills
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience working in payments or related business and technology innovation.
  • Experience delivering emerging payments solutions in business, technology, or operations role. Ability to operate independently within a matrixed organization at a variety of executive and junior levels.
  • Experience with executive communications and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Summarize, create presentations, and present initiative-specific key findings, performance, and recommendations to Senior and Executive Leadership
  • Growth Mindset- demonstrates curiosity. Welcomes failure as a learning opportunity.

Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
  • Analytic skills to develop business cases, setup hypothesis validation and evaluate both quantitative and qualitative risks/benefits.
