Occupation Summary
Oversee and manage scientific and regulatory aspects of research database development and data hygiene for the Department of Surgery’s Data Management team. Provide oversite and compliance for research database management, data management plan development and maintenance (now required for NIH funded projects)

 

Work Performed

  • Perform a variety of complex and independent activities involved in the col lection, analysis, documentation, and interpretation of social, economic or health related information. 
  • Oversee and strategically manage scientific and regulatory aspects of database development, data hygiene development and management of required data management plans in research for the Department of Surgery’s Data Management team.
  • Establish work procedures; select sources of information and specific data for the creation and management of research databases to support the Department of Surgery’s research data program.
  • Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations or written reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. 
  • Develop forms and questionnaires and coordinate the application of research techniques. 
  • Confer with principal investigator in developing plans for research projects and to discuss the interpretation of results and the preparation of manuscripts for publication. 
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. 

 

Minimum Qualifications
Education

Work requires a bachelor's degree in a field related to a specific position.

 

Experience
Work requires two years of experience in research/data analysis or related position OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
