Global Markets Regulatory and Enterprise Data

Global Markets Data Management Group is responsible for establishing data management strategy and data governance for Global Markets. The team works closely with other groups within Global Markets, other lines of business and Enterprise functions. The team drives strategic initiatives and projects in the areas of data management and governance.

Members of the Regulatory and Enterprise Data team within GMDM are engaged in the provisioning of data to functions such as Regulatory Reporting, management of Market, Liquidity, and Counterparty Risks, management of Collateral, Capital Allocations, and the General Ledger.

The role involves negotiating and accepting business requirements from the Enterprise functions such as GFC and ECM, working with Technology and process owners to ensure that data is provisioned, ensuring that the Data Quality Control Framework is leveraged to insure the fitness of the data for purpose, and supporting the process of attesting that the data is fit for purpose.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Global Markets products, data structures, and processes, strong project management skills and experience in managing data management projects, and understanding the Bank of America policies and procedures.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical support for strategic Global Markets reporting initiatives.
  • Review and sign off on report instructions to BRD mapping and tech designs related to FRD implementation.
  • Coordinate review of reporting requirements impact on GM schemas, data structures, transformations.
  • Review and develop reporting data quality control framework.
  • Participate in change management process.
  • Provide SME knowledge and interface with various tech, quantitative, and business groups representing providers and consumers of the Global Markets data.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, critical thinking
  • Knowledge of financial markets and traded products
  • Project management skills, ability to facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to work with large datasets using advanced Excel or SQL
  • Ability to multitask and properly prioritize multiple projects
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of the various functions within Global Markets trading organization and other functions interacting with Global Markets, such as Operations, Risk, Finance.
  • Python experience
