Key Responsibilities Encouraged: Build out data pipelines to consume, standardize, aggregate and link data across variety of data sources Build dashboards and management information (MI) reports in Business Intelligence Tools such as Qlik (preferable) or Tableau with the appropriate visualization aids such as charts, graphs, layouts and clear interaction design for a phenomenal user experience Analyze and convert business requirements into technical implementation to store data (Data Modeling) from various data sources into a consolidated view, used for Key Performance Indicators (important metric) and Management Information (MI) reporting Support the technical implementation of the Data Management Reporting module with ownership on development, testing and deployment phases within the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) Your future colleagues Applicant will join Group CDO (Chief Data Office), a successful team with a diverse mix of dedicated people distributed geographically across New York, Raleigh, Zurich, London and Pune. Group CDO is organized as a team of specialists in a relatively flat hierarchy structure, where each member of the team is encouraged to produce high quality content whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve the common goal of driving data strategy and providing oversight of data management plans across the whole of Credit Suisse Group. Your role will be in a new function, Group CDO Data Risk and Control Framework, which is being formed to develop a well-rounded view of Data Health at Credit Suisse, including improved visibility of our data controls landscape, minimum standard key controls and links to bank-wide control frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills to develop innovative solutions in the areas of Data Management We are a department which values Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and is committed to realizing the firm’s D&I ambition which is an integral part of our global cultural values We are looking for applicants who will bring excellent proven technical experience in data processing (querying, aggregation, data pipelines) and an eye for building succinct data visualizations to produce innovative solutions. * Degree in Computer Science or in a similar field * Equivalent experience as a Data Engineer/ Analyst / BI Developer * Proficiency using SQL queries and applying it on Big Data platforms such as Impala and Hive to extract data from HDFS tables using joins/aggregation * Proven hands on expertise building visualization and reporting with leading analytics tools -Qlik or Tableau * Proven ability to interpret data across sources into distinct themes and trends for succinct visualizations * Equivalent experience with data mining and establishing data processing pipelines. Familiarity with Python for data munging and cleansing * Proven experience of working in an Agile development environment using DevOps practices and tools such as JIRA, Confluence is a plus * Comfortable working in a fast paced environment under tight timeframes. * Focused, result oriented with good analytical and problem solving skills. * Eager to learn new technologies * Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value varied perspectives.
