Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to join our team in the Suitland MD area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing Software and developing CO capabilities in C, C++, Python, Java, etc.
  • Software debugging
  • Creating and/or upgrading techniques and technologies to evade detection
  • Evaluating and re-engineering acquired tools
  • Programming for multiple operations systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, Solaris, and network devices)
  • Software reverse engineering across architectures
  • Network programming
  • Creating and/or maintaining software build environments
  • Writing users’ manuals and the required documents of release process
  • Writing and executing test plans for various phases of testing, including functionality testing, integration testing, and Personal security product (PSP testing
  • Creating and maintaining automated test harnesses and test scripts
  • Conducting integration testing to ensure compatibility with other tools

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a software development role on complex, large scale, multi system message-based integration projects.  
  • Lead processes for the timely resolution of the most critical and/or complex issues
  • Software Development using Object Oriented Programming.
  • Highly developed skills and knowledge with API design & development using development
  • The ability to work with multiple technical project stakeholders to gather and document detailed integration business requirements via working groups and formulate compatible integration designs. 
  • Experience implementing enterprise integration architectures and designing integration solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in building applications / integrations preferably within Naval systems. 
  • Experience in Agile development methodology/Scrum is preferred
  • Experience with Containerization and/or Orchestration, in one of the following: Kubernetes, KDE2, Docker, Podman, K3s, Open shift or similar technologies

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Be a United States Citizen
  • Possess a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) that is current within the last five (5) years and will remain in scope for 3 months after anticipated reward
  • Possess a current DOD TS clearance
  • Possess eligibility for access to a TS/SCI
  • Be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
