Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell UOP-UPT-Key Equipment. An opening exists for a Principal Project Engineer, Equipment, Process Information and Controls (PIC) in Des Plaines, IL.. You will be accountable for managing PIC control system projects. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive performance.
You will partner with world class engineering and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• New Product Project Scope Review
• New Product Project Execution management through delivery
• Standard PIC/PSA/GP Project Scope review
• Standard PIC/PSA/GP Project Execution management through delivery
• Primary customer interface throughout execution
• Mentor less experienced Project Engineers
• Own project hardware designs and checkouts
• Own product designs
• Determine control system as well as work process improvements
• Implement control system as well as work process improvements
• Address Project barriers
• Provide Sales Support assistance
• Provide Service Support assistance
• Maintain ISO certification

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors Degree Electrical Engineering/Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years experience Process Controls Industry  
• Detailed PLC hardware knowledge
• Intrinsic Safety Barrier knowledge and Hazardous environment
• AutoCAD working knowledge
