About this role:

Digital Technology & Innovation group has an opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer in its Secure Identity Management Services (SIMS) engineering team.  This is a hands-on role with primary focus on analysis, design, and development of complex business functionality. The ideal candidate would have deep experience with Java/J2ee ecosystem , well-versed in system design principles and proficient in designing and developing highly available , mission-critical applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of engineers to build , enhance and support capabilities in the digital identity domain
  • Lead application modernization efforts that includes modernizing application architecture , transforming Quality Engineering practices and improving resiliency to support "always on" digital ecosystem
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide developer support for releases
  • Provide on-call pager support during off-hours as needed

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Java/J2EE experience
  • 3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 2+ years of Spring experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+years of Mongo DB experience
  • 2+ years of microservices development experience
  • Prior experience with developing applications/Microservices for deployment on an internal or public cloud platform/environment
  • Prior experience with Apache Camel 
  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
  • Prior experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG
