We are looking for hands-on authentic and committed Data Engineers to support clients across a range of industries and join our Platform Engineering capability:

As a Platform Data Engineer you will be involved in writing codes that bridge the gaps between software and hardware. Your key deliverables will include but not be limited to being accountable to / contribute to technical decision making, defining successful outcomes and owning/contribute to engineering execution in the team. This will involve:

• Build automation to support product development and data analytics initiatives.

• Create, maintain and track designs (at high and detailed design level) with issue resolution.

• Identifying new/emerging technologies for adoption, drive consistent code reviews.

• Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates.

• Work with product management to direct priorities and ensure successful execution.

• Continually research current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.

You will be responsible for all aspects of data engineering from delivery planning, estimating and analysis, all the way through to data architecture and pipeline design, delivery and production implementation.

You will be

• working on client projects with teams from across our Applied Intelligence practice as well as industry, functional and technology SMEs on some of our clients most challenging projects

• designing and implementing complex data solutions ranging from batch to streaming and event-driven architectures, across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid client technology landscapes

• Ensure technical expectations of deliverables are met

We are looking for experience a number in the following skills:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering in a customer or business facing capacity

• Ability to understand and articulate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences

• Stakeholder management and communication skills, including prioritising, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building

• Strong experience in SDLC delivery, including waterfall, hybrid and Agile methodologies. Experience delivering in an agile environment,

• Experience of implementing and delivering data solutions and pipelines on Azure / AWS or GCP cloud platforms

• Experience across one or more across data lifecycle – platform build, pipeline, migration / testing

• An understanding of data modelling, data structures, databases, and ETL processes

• An in-depth understanding of large-scale data sets, including both structured and unstructured data

• Strong SQL and/or Python knowledge

• Experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef)

• Knowledge and experience of delivering CI/CD and DevOps capabilities in a data environment

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an Associate degree and / or relevant work experience.

• Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.

• Enjoy problem-solving in the different domains and industries.

• Adept with Python and other common programming languages.

• Practiced with APIs.

• Skilled with scripting and frameworks

• Capable of working with a range of operating systems.

• Australian Citizenship would be required for some project roles to comply with security clearance requirements
