Job Description 

An Associate in Research position is immediately available to study neuromodulation of metabolism and the immune system. This is a great opportunity to join our project to study the physiologic, cellular, and molecular mechanisms mediating neuro-modulation of the immune and metabolic systems during infectious disorders such as sepsis. The project focuses on the interplay between the nervous and immune system and how neurotransmitters modulate the immune and metabolic responses to infections. You will join our laboratory of Bioelectronic immunology to study how activation of specific neuronal networks modulate organ function and physiologic homeostasis. Our research is mostly translational to understand the fundamental mechanisms of neuromodulation and how they can be translated into no vel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of infectious, metabolic and inflammatory disorders.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

The candidate should have experience in animals.


Min Degree Requirements: 

Science related master's degree or terminal degree (e.g., Sc.D., M.D., D.V .M)
Other Requirements: 

Incumbent must be engaged in scientific research that requires a scientific leadership role, and not employed as a research staff member.
