About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to join the Strategic Execution, Business Execution Services (BES) group as part of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.


In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute against the roadmap for critical programs within the Strategic Risk Portfolio with key Trading, Risk, and Technology partners

  • Drive prioritization and accountability with support from sponsors and stakeholder leadership.  Provides day-to-day direction to a cross functional team using business expertise to drive the body of work forward

  • Lead resolution of moderately complex problems, identifying root cause and solution options for decision making.

  • Build effective partnerships across the organization, forming strong relationships with core teams (including risk modeling quants, market risk oversight, risk technology, among others) to work collaboratively

  • Identify, manage, and escalate key risks, issues, and dependencies and help lead resolution.

  • Manage program forums with sponsors and stakeholder leadership, including setting agenda / materials, driving decision making, and ensuring key actions are taken to drive execution forward. Support management communications by distilling complex information into digestible form for information sharing and decision making.

  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced staff within the group


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid leadership, relationship management, influencing and execution skills

  • Ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment

  • Advanced experience in planning and organizing cross functional work and managing multiple stakeholder groups to drive complex, high-priority efforts through to completion

  • Advanced communication skills with experience with business and technical stakeholders

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities as the body of work evolves, often on short notice

  • Prior experience in driving change within risk/capital systems or related regulatory initiatives a plus
