This role is for a senior and an experienced Data Center Engineer (ENGOPS) to oversee Global Data Center IT Facilities and Operations working with regional data center teams and vendors High level the role Involves around key areas such as: * Supporting day-to-day data center (L0/L1) break-fix operations (such as e.g., computer hardware break-fix and cabling issues) of all global enterprise data centers working with multiple vendor partners. Provide oversight for scheduled and un-scheduled Data Center related events such as power downs, DR tests, quarterly maintenance windows (QMWs) * Crafting global consistent processes and procedures against Global Data Center IT Facilities Engineering standards. As a Data Center ENGOPS Lead working with partners from GCIO and GBSS (Real Estate/Facilities Engineering) build global and consistent processes, procedures, and IT engineering standards to have outstanding optimized, secure and efficient data centers. This role will also support ad-hoc global projects and give inputs to the data center strategy document and assist with data center architecture blueprints. *Responsibility for:* * Managing global break-fix operations in all global enterprise data centers working with our vendor partners * Report on all global break-fix issues in timely fashion and raise to regional L2 teams as necessary * Create and manage all global process to ensure compliance to both internal and regulatory control / governance standards * Working with Bare Metal Engineers/Operations team (BMaaS ENGOPS team) ensure timely availability of data center resources (e.g., floor space and power) are made available to high available BMaaS Core Infrastructure in our data centers * Coordinate with Credit Suisse GBSS (Real Estate) and IT teams ensuring timely and quality delivery of day-to-day operations and projects as per CS standards * Working with Service Enabling and Metrics mature capacity management function to report on power, space, cooling, efficiency statistics in support of achieving data center objectives and strategy * Develop and report on key performance indicators which impact the client experience * Project cost / schedule management and tender/RFP processes * Approval of Data Centre / vendor access requests and quarterly access reviews * Review and approval of IT requests across systems such as SNOW, DCIM tool such as Nlyte, etc. as required * Oversight of all installs and decommissions in the Data Centers * Management reporting * Risk and issue management including customer concern / resolution * Inventory management and key performance indicators reporting * Defining and maintaining documentation of all implementations and services * Continuous review and improvement of policies, processes, methodologies, and services in line with industry standard practices * always Ensuring Production stability while adhering to all CS and regulatory policies with no tolerance to any risk exposure * Assist in driving Data Center strategies from Development through to Deployment * Represent Data Center Operations at internal and external meetings *Your future colleagues* This IT role is within Credit Suisse Data Center Core BmaaS function under Infrastructure Hosting and Data Center Core service. The person in the role will be working with global data center IT engineers and critical facilities engineering and real estate department along with multiple support vendors. We are looking for: * You must bring a broad IT Infrastructure / Architecture experience especially with skills and knowledge for optimized Compute/Storage/Network infrastructure placement in data centers, high density placement * IT professional who has/had enterprise operations support experience to client support tickets and handling them to established OLAs/important metrics with vendors * IT professional who has recent experience in running data centers in context of on-prem hosting requirements and public cloud hosting capabilities in support of hybrid infrastructure hosting capabilities to audit and compliance requirements * Proactive with the ability to take ownership and responsibility for issues and projects * Self-motivated and able to work independently whilst raising issues and requesting assistance where necessary * Detailed understanding of inventory management and capacity management * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to work with senior management and global partners * Integrity and sound judgement * Ability to work in a meaningful environment with tight deadlines Education / Professional Qualifications / Certifications * Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science or engineering with 7-10 years working experience * Data Center Management qualifications (e.g. CDCP,CDCS,CDCE,DCSD,DSCO) would be advantageous * Project management experience added advantage (e.g. Prince2, PMI) The following specific knowledge would be advantageous: * Data Center technologies, specific to Facilities Management * Cabling technologies and methodologies * Bare Metal infrastructure consolidation and migration * IT infrastructure project management (e.g., data centers, office campus, servers, network, voice and desktop equipment) * Budgets, strategies, project proposal and cost analysis * Proficient use of MS office and project management software * Knowledge of investment banking IT concepts * Diverse experience in working across geographies, cultures, and regulatory requirements * Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives. **Job:** **Information Technology* **Title:** * Data Center Engineer BMaaS #200896* **Location:** *NC-Raleigh* **Requisition ID:** *200896*
