Responsibilities

USPTM has an immediate opportunity for an Outside Sales Manager.The Outsisde Sales Manager must have product knowledge and sales experience within the tube or pipe industry.

The Territory/Outside Sales Manager is responsible for:
  • Develop accounts in the retail (box stores) market
  • Develop a sales program for the retail market
  • Research needs and develop a program
  • Recommend and make presentations to buyers
  • Provide samples and details about current and new products
  • Recommends products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests
  • Answers customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the customers
  • 25% of time annually is required at home office

We are looking for Sales Leaders who can create and execute strategic sales plans focused on critical product initiatives, new markets and new customers.

Qualified Outside Sales candidates must be:
  • Participates directly in the development of key national, and regional accounts
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports
  • Negotiate details of contracts and payments
  • Forward orders to order entry for processing
  • Establish and monitor quotation activities with follow-up system to track sales opportunities
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Conducts research and market study and uses aggressive sales practices and products promotion
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources
  • May fly or drive a vehicle throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules
  • Works with Inside Sales Associates to keep account activities
Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of Insurability
  • Associate's Degree or Work Equivalent
  • 5 plus years of sales experience in related field - Piping / Tube
  • Working knowledge and experience with internet, inventory system, Microsoft EXCEL, Word, and Outlook
