Are you ready to out your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? Is so, Our Defense Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Digital Engineer to join our team. This position will be located in Warner Robins, Georgia. Our team in Warner Robins is a world class provider in modernization and sustainment capabilities for mission and weapon systems.

You will be responsible for the design and development of digital solutions for our hardware engineering team. The focus of the position will be to create firmware designs for FPGAs and SOCs for projects.

Your responsibilities also include:
  • Work within an IPT to create and deliver digital solutions to our customers
  • Contributor towards establishing a products architecture
  • Guide the insertion of digital technologies into solutions for our customers
  • Design, Code, and Test designs for FPGAs and SoCs
  • Support software and/or hardware interface designs to the FPGAs in development
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing designing for FPGAs utilizing VHDL and/or Verilog
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Xilinx Zynq and Ultrascale family of devices
  • Experience with the implementation and analysis of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms
  • Embedded Linux and build tools
  • Printed Circuit Board design and test experience
  • Hands-on reverse engineering experience
  • Hands-on modeling and simulation experience for the above utilizing one or more toolsets
Salary Range: $119,400 USD - $179,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
