JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Traffic works directly with the Traffic Manager to facilitate the production and delivery of all digital jobs, by determining launch dates, maintaining of timelines, to going live.  Reviews website, mobile app and email production jobs and partners with clients to ensure all content needs have been provided and then assigns the work to be developed by digital producers. 

This position will also be responsible for opening and submitting operational jobs that are needed on the website properties while also ensuring all jobs are submitted and assigned in a timely manner to allow for proper review and approval processes. This position should have a basic understanding of digital content production CMS and translation software in order to better understand the level of effort a job request requires.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains and manages the digital production team’s work queue; assigning jobs to team members ensuring each of their queues are prioritized and that they have all the content needed to complete the job.
  • Maintains website, mobile app, and email timelines and is accountable for monitoring the project lifecycle and ensuring work is delivered on time. Leading weekly/daily stand-up meetings with the web teams. Monitors and accounts for conflicts related to the content production.
  • Monitors day to day activities and resources, reshuffling work as needed and alerting Senior Management of potential challenges so they can be resolved.
  • Maintains a cohesive calendar with all website, mobile app and email launches; flagging conflicts and working with business partners to resolve any challenges. Using the calendar to better coordinate & communicate with web teams when there may be bandwidth for more work or when we need to not take any new work.
  • Works with the Traffic Manager to manage the translation prioritization queue.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required.  Preferred degree disciplines:  Marketing, Communications, Marketing/Mass Communications, Project Management, Business, Organizational Management.

 

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience in corporate environment with focus on overseeing tactical execution.   Preferable experience managing/overseeing at least 1 or more direct reports.  Experience with website production is strongly preferred. 

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Not required, but PMP or any other Project Management certifications a plus.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Experience with project management workflow software (Workamajig, Basecamp, Workfront, MS Project, etc.) a plus, Workamajig/WorkFront strongly preferred. 

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

  • Advanced project management skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously in fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge and proven experience with digital development and production processes and techniques (web, mobile, social, etc.)

The Associate Trafficker is responsible for closely working with the Traffic Manager on managing digital content production through the determination of launch dates, maintaining of timelines, to going live.  Reviews website, mobile app and email production jobs and partners with clients to ensure all content needs have been provided and then assigns the work to be developed by digital producers. The volume and variation of work requires flexibility and management of a sizeable number of requests both daily and on special occasions. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure optimal maintenance of existing digital properties as well as other new web sites and mobile applications.
