JOB SUMMARY: Supports a specific area of Human Resources by maintaining and processing information of Diversity Programs.  Provides administrative support to Diversity and Inclusion team, along with creating and maintaining communication for programming.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides administrative support to the Diversity and Inclusion team by maintaining databases of information specific to various areas of diversity.  Assists Diversity and Inclusion team by tracking data and maintaining communication with client groups and Team Members. 
  • Creates and distributes communication materials for programming in support of review process with Diversity and Inclusion and Internal Communications. Creates digital and printed content, writes stories and publication pieces, supporting the roll out of diversity themed branding campaigns. 
  • Assists in the planning, setup, execution and breakdown of Diversity and Inclusion events.  Maintains, organizes and distributes digital media and printed content.  Photograph events, catalog images, event calendar entries and upload to internal departmental SharePoint site.  Distribute or post content across internal communication channels, updating internal Diversity and Inclusion portals.  Organize and maintain Team Member Resource Group (TMRG) database, email distribution lists.  Participate in the planning and execution of various events on and off property.
  • Completes all inter-departmental requests related to executing Diversity and Inclusion programming, including event order forms, audio visual requests, catering requests, IT requests and inputs event summary data on project planning tool.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SCOPE: Provides administrative support and planning to the Diversity and Inclusion programming.

EDUCATION:  High school degree or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Human Resources, Psychology, Communication, Business or related field preferred. 

EXPERIENCE: 1 to 3 years Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  1 to 3 year experience in communications and proficient in Adobe Photo Shop.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Ability to partner with external clients and execute events interacting with multicultural guests or senior executives.
