Core to the US Pharmaceutical Distribution business is the Strategic Pricing and Manufacturer Relations (SPMR) team.

The SPMR team is looking for a Senior Manager, Market Intelligence and Categorical Pricing. This role sits in the second pillar of SPMR (Manufacturer Relations, Strategic Pricing, and Innovation / Policy), within the Product Strategy team. The Product Strategy team connects insights and strategy across the spectrum of manufacturer discussions ("buy side") and end customers ("sell side") for the enterprise. Manufacturers range from the largest pharmaceutical companies in the US to smaller biotechs preparing for the launch of their first drug. Customers include health systems, hospitals, retail pharmacy chains, and independent pharmacies.

This high visibility and high impact role will be responsible for ensuring both the Product Strategy team, broader SPMR team, and Finance team have evidence-based projections for brand, specialty, rare/orphan, cell & gene, biosimilar marketed and pipeline products for Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) financial reporting and for SPMR manufacturer conversations. This role reports to the Director of Market Intelligence & Categorical Pricing

• Build a process to consolidate market intelligence across enterprise, particularly within SPMR team, and develop inputs to projections for internal financial reporting. Develop and oversee the internal systems, templates, and tools to maximize the efficient delivery of market intelligence across SPMR

• Regularly collaborate with Finance, Pricing, Business Development, Data Engineers, and Product Strategy teams. Collaborate with pipeline leads across the enterprise to ensure the most accurate and contemporary pipeline insights

• The ability to organize insights from cross-enterprise and manufacturer discussions to inform projections is fundamental to this role. Communicates intel on manufacturers, their pipeline, and competitors to relevant Business Development and broader SPMR teams

• Support Business Development Directors with deep dives on manufacturer level portfolio reviews. Produce regular pipeline reports based upon third party databases, earnings calls, FDA activity, and manufacturer meetings. Proactively engages Business Development team to determine status of pipeline product and encourage early discussions with manufacturers, tracking towards FDA approval timelines
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research in assessments of pharmaceutical manufacturers portfolio, collaborate with Market Intelligence team members for insights and alignment

Education/Training -
  • 7+ years in healthcare
  • MBA in strategy, finance, or related field and/or 2+ years in a consulting organization
  • PharmD preferred, not required

Business Experience -
  • Pharma Pipeline forecasting experience within Market Access or at a Payer/PBM
  • Ability to take complicated information / data and draw out key insights for leadership
  • Ability to interpret clinical data, analyst expectations, and provide logical expectation set for product / manufacturer
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve issues for which there is no predetermined process
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills

  • Exposure to pharmaceutical product development and relevant therapeutic area expertise
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills with ability to work successfully as a team member
  • Demonstrates adaptability, handles day to day work challenges confidently and timely, is willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Shows resilience in the face of challenges, demonstrates flexibility; prioritizes work accordingly
