Requisition Number: 2022-036 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Pharmacology/Exp Neuroscience 50000523 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience ( PEN ) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center seeks outstanding applicants for an Associate/Full Professor tenure leading position with expertise in cellular and molecular neuroscience. The department seeks to add expertise in the field of non-coding RNAs, organelle function, single-molecule imaging, cell signaling, proteomics and metabolomics, and computational biology linked to exosome synthesis linked to neuroinfectious, neuroimmune and neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis and therapeutics. Applicants must have and M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with extensive knowledge in molecular biology and with interest in biomarker discovery. The department is ranked 10th in NIH funding with broad interests in neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, HIV -1 associated neurocognitive disorder, and multiple sclerosis). Successful applicants will be expected to develop collaborative research.
