About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Manager with a passion for building and delivering great products  to join the API Modernization Team. This role is posted with a functional job title of API Product Manager; however, the Wells Fargo job title is Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant.

As part of Enterprise Architecture within the Chief Technology Office (CTO), the API Modernization Team is responsible for the transformation of enterprise API technology.  As the team moves to be a more product-driven organization, they will build out the foundational technology and supporting tools for the following product areas: Apigee Gateway, API Standards & Governance, and API Lifecycle Management. As the Product Manager, you will manage one or more of these product areas for API Modernization. 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams
  • Balance strategy and technical delivery to help identify product features essential to bring value to internal customers and to deliver robust, companywide technology solutions while adhering to standards and governance
  • Apply deep technical understanding of API lifecycle to promote API as a product
  • Collaborate and consult with product owners, cross-functional teams and Line of Business partners to guide product development, prioritization, decision-making and delivery commitments
  • Define roadmaps, OKRs, KPIs, meaningful metrics, and milestones for one or more technical product lines
  • Define feedback mechanisms and metrics to measure customer satisfaction
  • Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to enterprise API Modernization technology initiatives
  • Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams
  • Coach Product Owners and assist with strategic product recommendations

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of technology product management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with industry standard product methodologies , frameworks, and tools
  • Experience in setting a product strategy, roadmap and in meeting product targets
  • Experience accommodating regulatory changes in product planning
  • SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience
  • Knowledge of APIs, the API Lifecycle, API security concerns and OWASP
  • Experience with Agile methodology and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working in financial services or a similar regulated industry
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels
