As a Cloud Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing full time support to a large enterprise Department of Defense customer. You will be directly responsible for supporting the customer maintain and upgrade their Secure Print Solution and ManTech Sentris implementation (a client / server application), using best practices from cloud implementations to quickly build, test, validate, deploy, and maintain the customer’s implementation, including all available Sentris Feature Packs and any custom integrations developed for the customer. You will collaborate with the infrastructure and operations team members to help design and deploy related services in a way that exploits the full capabilities of the secure IT solutions to deliver mission success for the customer. 

Individuals needs to be comfortable with current Microsoft On-Premise solutions, including Active Directory, Certificate Services, GPOs, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Skype, and Microsoft SharePoint. Individuals need to be comfortable creating SQL queries, PowerShell scripts, and Ansible playbooks and roles and ready to lead a transition to a full DevOps solution. 
Candidates must have experience working with DISA STiGs, automated security lockdown solutions, and/or Microsoft Desired State Configuration.
Experience developing and automating test cases is preferred.
Experience with Azure Dev Ops, GIT, or other code repository solutions is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the capability to collaborate and independently learn new technologies to be successful. Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and upgrade Sentris Platform Server.
  • Maintain and upgrade Secure Print Solution. 
  • Deploy Sentris Platform client across the enterprise.
  • Maintain and upgrade Sentris Protection for SharePoint, Exchange, File Shares, and Skype for Business, and any new features that may be delivered
  • Maintain customer-developed solutions that leverage Sentris as an access control solution.
  • Establish automation as a core competency for managing and deploying Sentris, inclusive of best practices to deploy Exchange, file servers, Skype for Business, and SharePoint.
  • Review Service Design Packages and Change Requests during requirements phase to identify potential impacts to the Sentris infrastructure
  • Create ITIL-compliant Service Design Packages and Change Requests as part of deploying new versions of Sentris across the enterprise
  • Review existing processes and SOPs and apply automation in efficient ways to reduce and/or to reduce human interactions
  • Establish automation best practices, including repository of code snippets and vetted procedures, that are shared and implemented across teams.
  • Assist teams automate monitoring, reports, and dashboards to facilitate efficient operations and metrics-based performance monitoring
  • Identify and implement process improvements working across teams 
  • Help other teams implement automation solutions, based on existing automated solutions, that ease the design of solutions; facilitate testing and implementation across multiple test environments; and 
  • Participate in the organization’s Problem Management process to identify root causes, applying automation to permanently resolve and/or prevent future occurrences

Position Requirements:

  • Must have a BS degree or equivalent work experience and 10 years of experience
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience supporting Windows-based networks
  • Must have a strong background with PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, or other recent scripting language.
  • Must have recent experience with developing SQL database scripts
  • Must have knowledge/experience working with Ansible roles and playbooks, GIT, and CI/CD engines
  • Requires strong knowledge of security controls within NIST 800-53 and how to satisfy the controls
  • Must have knowledge of network monitoring tools, network monitoring protocols, such as SNMP and WMI, and best practices using network management systems to measure system performance aligned with managed service SLAs
  • Capability to develop decision and status briefs, including developing charts, and completing trend analysis.
  • Must maintain an IAT Level 2 certification (IAT Level 3 is preferred)
  • Must have advanced Operating System certifications for Microsoft Windows Servers and/or Linux products.
  • Must have cloud certification, Azure or Amazon cloud certification, such as Azure Fundamentals or Amazon Cloud Practitioner, with Solutions Architect certifications preferred
