About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer. The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering organization has an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Sr Engineer who has experience as a Java developer and security background across multiple platforms to join a high caliber team. The IAM Certification Engineering team provides software engineering solutions both our internal team and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a well-rounded technical background and experience in SDLC, secure coding, Agile development processes and multi-domain information security principles. Areas of responsibility will include, but not limited to code and script development for applications, tools and testing, creating diagrams, flowcharts, presentations and other support documentation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 6+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 5+ years of Java/J2EE experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of IBM Security Identity Management Tools experience
  • Relationship Management experience with organizational partners and customers
  • 4+ Years of experience implementing changes, and strong knowledge of Wells Fargo change management process
  • 6+ years of experience with Web Services
  • 5+ years of experience managing Management tools connections to multiple database platforms (TeraData,MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2
  • Ability to communicate confidentially and professionally
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Advanced scripting skills specifically around automation, log rotation, data collection, error collection and alerting
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban/Jira
  • Exposure to Unix/Windows Servers
