About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist...


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex derivatives products within Capital Markets Middle Office
  • Contribute to large scale planning related to profit and loss generation, attribution and trades
  • Review, analyze and resolve moderately complex trade issues that require in-depth evaluation
  • Resolve moderately complex trade issues
  • Lead team to meet functional area and process deliverables
  • Deliver solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and assist senior managers with industry related initiatives
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced analysts


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Understanding of other Capital Markets operational functions including, but not limited to broker dealer funding, settlements, PS&D, PRE, and Middle Office

  • Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking and financial instruments.
  • Advanced analytical, organization and interpersonal skills.

  • Working knowledge of Futures, Equities, Prime Brokerage, and OTC products
  • Strong understanding of complete trade lifecycle (clearance, settlement, funding, collateral, client services, brokerage)

Job Expectations:

  • This position will support the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and Prime Services Operations teams in Wells Fargo CIB Operations Group. The candidate will focus on the idea creation, prioritization, documentation, and delivery of strategic change across these teams. The individual will be responsible for understanding the core responsibilities of all groups within these teams, working with management to identify risks, industry initiatives, and areas of opportunity to develop and execute strategic changes including the further development of the offshore strategy for the team. The individual will be expected to work with support partners (risk, PS&D, technology, finance, business) to communicate and understand priorities in order to create an actionable and realistic roadmap. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating the production of all MIS reporting across the team globally.
