LinQuest is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

Join a small, hand selected systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting the Space Force Military Satellite Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will work onsite, co-located and closely integrated with the Government Customer. We seek a technical individual who has the initiative to work independently and will thrive in a highly collaborative environment of small teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical requirements baseline with an emphasis on interface definition
  • Coordinate and participate in integration testing, analysis and reporting to verify requirements and interface compliance
  • Lead for space and payload system requirements verification artifacts
  • Support verification artifacts for the ground system interface
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and provide solutions to related risks and discrepancies


Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution across the spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, as well as clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with software systems integration, test, verification, and validation
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
  • Willingness to learn DOORS scripting
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered for the position


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in satellite communications for DoD and/or commercial applications, including waveforms, protocols, and architectures
  • Lead analyses for special studies using orbital modeling and mathematical software tools, e.g. STK and Matlab


Required Experience:

  • MS degree in electrical or aerospace engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with satellite communications
