Use your knowledge of electrical engineering discipline, processes, and tools to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of products by designing, testing and/or validating products/ processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop specifications for hazardous Electrical Equipment
• Collaborate with engineering teams
• Perform specification review
• Work with Detail Designers on Construction packages
• Work with Fabricator on construction issues
• Prepare or update reports and documentation
• Use computer-assisted equipment
• Execute project tasks
• Identify areas for technical improvement
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Electrical Engineering
• 4+ Years’ experience generating specifications/requisitions for various types of Electrical equipment such as Motors, Lighting, and Heat Tracing
• Experience of NEC code
• 1+ Year with Hazardous Area Code familiarity
WE VALUE
• Experience mentoring or coordinating a team of Engineers
• Incorporate applicable Hazardous codes and customer requirements in order to produce a complete technical definition of the equipment.
• Assumes the secondary/primary liaison role with various outside suppliers and customers
• Technically evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process
• Review supplier designs against licensor requirements, code requirements, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers throughout the fabrication phase of the project.
• Visit shops for kickoff meetings and critical inspections points
• Work closely with all members of the project team including quality assurance, piping, instrument, process, and structural designers, purchasing personnel, and project managers to meet project requirements for Electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable NEC, European, Other Countries code UOP standards for Electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with 3-D Model Design, Conduit/Tray Routing, Mechanical Support and Installation Details
