At Sparta Systems, a Honeywell Company, as a Product UX Designer your goal will be to create simple and powerful experiences that enable our customers to be more successful. This is an important role for existing and new product pipeline. You will contribute to the vision of customers and your design solutions will empower customers to create sophisticated digital experiences on Sparta’s product platform. UX designer will be a leader and succeed by collaborating with partners across engineering, product management, analytics, and UX analysis & research groups to make the most impactful design decisions.

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Partner closely with Product Management and engineering teams to establish objectives and key results of the product.
  • Deep understanding of good user experience as a journey of business process, Information Architecture (IA), Interactions and Visual design.
  • Create wireframes, systems mapping, detailed UX flows, pixel perfect screens and prototypes to demonstrate micro-interactions and full experiences. Be passionate about creating design language that can be scaled
  • Break complex concepts into smaller and manageable UI components understanding the user behavior. Help translate deep conversations though a lens of use needs with tenacity and creativity.
  • Build a lasting relationship across organization including cross-product teams and business entities across Sparta and Honeywell.
  • Thrive on facing tough and competing design constraints. Enjoy building design with customers. Integrate the global-first practice in design practices, accessibility and inclusive principles.
  • Be leadership minded and contribute to shape our design team, guiding principles, tools implementation/adoption scaling the organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 100% own the responsibility of Quality & Consistency of design. Engineering, and leadership on content with context.
  • Be able to clearly communicate your design recommendations to both feature teams and leadership to help drive strategy and create experiences that customers need and love.
  • Understanding of business and how different projects/products/apps can fit into an advance company-wide strategy.
  • Working autonomously, using our UI library for faster and more efficient process with fewer hand-offs.
  • Be able to own & conduct a User Research on its own and partner with marketing teams when necessary

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 4 + years of hands-on experience with UX Design
  • 3 + years of experience in delivering Functional specifications, design documentation, business process workflow, and Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for new product development projects. 
  • 3 + years of experience in Customer Interactions role.

WE VALUE

  • Experience or Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in a global regulated environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence Suite
  • Experience with Section 508 accessibility and alternatives to achieve 508 standards
  • Experience or Knowledge of working in Life Science, Pharmaceuticals organization
  • Salesforce UX Designer Certification
  • Ability to travel to customer sites up to 20% of time
