Raytheon Missiles & Defense - Precision Manufacturing organization (RPM) encompasses two remote location factories (Lemmon Ave., Dallas, TX and University St., McKinney, TX) that are structured under the Missile and Defense business unit of Raytheon Technologies. RPM manufactures a wide variety of precision machined, plated, and painted parts for various radar, FLIR, Missile, and Communications systems across Raytheon.

Job Summary:

The Master Scheduler professional applies material management principles that enable them to develop solutions to a variety of problems. This person daily manages factory Demand / Supply in support of achieving MRP schedules that meet customer requirements and apply material management principles that enable the development of solutions to a variety of problems. This pivotal role will operate in a Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system, SAP, to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule to support our end user. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate priority needs and schedules, in addition to achieving performance and customer goals while following documented organizational processes and command media. This individual will also be expected to promote Raytheon's key values, facilitate problem resolution and apply Raytheon Six Sigma to maximize efficiencies.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Creating and maintaining production schedules / changes; and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer MRP.
  • Preparing Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of material
  • Facilitating resolution of material issues pacing on-time kit release.
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
  • Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts through the production facility
  • Analyzing/reconciling data to ensure system integrity
  • Coordinating cross-functional interdepartmental activity as needed (i.e. with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, program managers operations, and logistics).
This position can be a Master Scheduler or a Sr. Master Scheduler based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and duties requirements for the position

Qualifications You Must Have:

Master Scheduler
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, Business, or related field preferred OR additional 2 years of Planning and Production Control experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering or related manufacturing engineering fields
  • Experience working in SAP or a like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
Sr. Master Scheduler
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, Business or a related field OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience OR an additional 2 years Planning and Production Control experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering or related manufacturing engineering field
  • Experience working in SAP or a like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Master Scheduling, Material planning and/or Order execution experience
  • Kinaxis / Rapid Response or Business Warehouse (Data mining and Reporting) Experience
