Social Media Manager University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: 35302 Salary: $5,058 - $12,592 monthly Position Description: The Social Media Manager will represent an integral part of the UCLA Housing and Hospitality Marketing team. This position will be responsible for the increasing of awareness of this division's member departments including 3 hotels, a significantly large catering and conferences operation, student housing and dining. The Social Media Manager will understand the value and offerings of our division and appropriately represent us in the social media space. The Social Media team supports and collaborates with multiple departments within UCLA Administration's Auxiliary Services, Residential Life, along with Campus Marketing and Communications. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Social Media Manager assists with conceptualizing, creating, executing, measuring and advising on social media programs for UCLA Housing and Hospitality's Communications. Primary responsibilities include managing, maintaining and growing UCLA H producing content for these channels; leveraging these channels to strengthen campaigns; amplifying partner content specific to their goals; promoting UCLA H monitoring for trends and engaging with followers/community; assisting analytics team to develop insights; researching industry best practices for existing and emerging trends in social media; attending events (in-person when applicable) and providing coverage within and outside of normal business hours; and monitoring/reporting on crisis communications 7 days a week and outside of normal business hours when necessary.
