The Business Development Executive - MSP Physician Solutions is accountable for generating, managing and closing sales opportunities for Locum Tenens services provided within AMN's Managed Services Programs (MSP) solution and related workforce management and technology solutions. As part of AMN Healthcare's Physician & Leadership Solutions Division, the individual provides subject matter expertise in the sales process for Locum Tenens services. The sales executive often works collaboratively with other AMN Healthcare sales and account management team members to add and include Locum Tenens service utilization for both new and existing MSP client relationships across a defined geographic area. Within the sales process, this individual targets executive decision makers relevant to Locum Tenens utilization helping to support lead generation, opportunity qualification, solution scope and design, solution demonstration and contract negotiation/execution.

Job Tasks:
  • Achieve annual and quarterly achievement of bookings targets while providing accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Responsible for growing market share within specific geographic regions of the healthcare market for both new and existing clients.
  • Qualify new sales opportunities through systematic investigation of client's situation and objectives, evaluation of revenue potential, and alignment with AMN MSP, workforce management and technology solution offerings.
  • Discover and analyze client strategic objectives, specifications and challenges through trusted advisor and consultative relationship.
  • Initiate and establish relationships with client contacts, through phone calls, video calls and in person meetings, to present customized solutions which solve current financial, operational, and workforce planning challenges and align solutions with desired future state.
  • Negotiate complex sales cycle with the client, interfacing with all key buying influencers and decision makers.
  • Structure detailed sales plans for building new business relationships with key stakeholders and "C" level executives within client healthcare organizations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations aligned with AMN's style and branding guidelines to communicate valued solutions to client contacts and decision makers (C-Suite, operational leaders, etc) to create new revenue streams and/or increase market share, often as part of Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Customize client proposals and presentations based on client situation.
  • Continually expand individual knowledge of Locum Tenens and managed services market trends, industry analyst updates, and competitive data by reviewing internal and external sources.
  • Participate in key industry associations and trade organizations.
  • Develop and manage pipeline of diversified accounts by converting opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Communicate sales activities and opportunities through the pipeline call process in order to keep all stakeholders informed of upcoming implementations (i.e. shared services, corporate, sales partners).

Minimum Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelors degree

Preferred Education/Certifications:
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Minimum Experience:
  • 5+ years in sales or business development for physician recruitment/staffing, healthcare staffing or workforce management solution suppliers.
  • Specialized experience in Locum Tenens services and Managed Service Programs (MSP) solutions highly desirable
