Job Title: Product Owner / Product Manager

Location: Cork, Ireland

McKesson are looking for a Product Owner / Product Manager in Cork to help deliver software products for McKesson Technology. This role is for a new team working on cutting edge technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with business and development to manage the product backlog with various stakeholders and guarantee quality of requirements. Collaborates closely with development team.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to communicate backlog and timelines. Close the gaps and increase clarity on product development on a technical level.
  • Coordinate review of changes with development and stakeholders to improve quality of results, owning the roadmap of work.
  • Write user stories, specifications and develop process workflows. Responsible for acceptance criteria for readiness for development.
  • Communicate release plans and guarantee our customers are supported directly or indirectly with customer service and help desk teams in order to increase accessibility and access to products and solutions.
  • Optimize backlog across multiple stakeholders where there's opportunity to improve the overall quality and time to market of changes requested.
  • Assists with product backlog maintenance and grooming.
  • Establishes and maintains agreements between team members on requirements.
  • Participates in Agile cadence such as standup meetings, backlog grooming sessions, review and retrospective meetings
  • Participate in development retrospectives and improve development processes with the business.
  • Have fun! - contribute towards a productive yet fun team environment

Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in customer relationship management
  • 4+ years in technical development experience with developers (Agile or related practices)
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for customer and non-IT engagement
  • Excellent technical depth in requirements development suitable for development
  • Ability to gain buy-in on strategy and prioritization
  • Running pilot programs and A/B testing
  • Gathering and analyzing aggregate and objective feedback related to product development
  • Development of customer onboarding and education
  • Experience with any or all of the following is an advantage
    • Tools including Atlassian JIRA, GitHub Projects,
    • Software development
    • UI technologies and applications
    • Visualization reporting tools
    • Working with various stakeholders in the development of technical solutions
