Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition Delivery - Medical Surgical

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition - Medical Surgical, reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition Delivery and is responsible for managing, engaging, coaching and developing a team of Talent Advisors.

Additionally, the Senior Manager is responsible for building strong relationships with business leaders and HRBPs to fully understand the business strategy and hiring needs for the assigned businesses/function. They will also assist in the management of our RPO partners and their delivery.

Key Functions
  • Creating the hiring strategy, assigning the resources and managing to completion.
  • Manage, engage and develop a team of talent advisors
  • Assist in overall RPO delivery for the Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services business through strong partnership with the vendor and internal stakeholders
  • Lead, inspire and coach a smart, ambitious recruiting team across multiple locations while driving a high level of performance against our aggressive hiring needs
  • Leverage recruiting metrics and analytics to provide insights, drive decision making and measure team productivity (i.e., SLAs, and customer satisfaction).
  • Create an engaging environment for the team
  • Develop team members in areas of opportunity and areas of desired growth
  • Provide oversight and ownership for the identified businesses/functions and provide hands-on support to ensure overall hiring needs are met when necessary.
  • Remove barriers, create solutions, and/or set expectations to help TAs meet business expectations

Understand business needs
  • Develop effective working relationships and partner with business leaders at all levels of the organization to understand needs and provide consultation on talent acquisition strategies and challenges
  • Share and exchange best practices to continuously improve results as well as leverage resources and programs across the enterprise
  • Provide business leaders and partners with analytics when necessary
  • Integrate new businesses into McKesson Talent Acquisition Shared Services when necessary
  • Provide talent acquisition training to business leaders when necessary

  • Develop effective working relationships and leverage HRBPs to understand business strategies and hiring needs
  • Partner and collaborate with TA Operations and HR Operations to ensure TA needs are met in the most effective way
  • Provide partnership between business leaders and RPO when necessary.
  • Partner with RPOs to create innovative solutions to ensure RPOs are successful in delivering to the business need

  • Understand systems and tools provided to Talent Advisor and Recruiting Coordinators to help train and ensure accuracy of systems.
  • Monitor and ensure usage of tools provided to team members

Typical Minimum Qualifications
  • 9+ years of professional experience in recruiting function with experience in full cycle recruiting
  • 1+ years of experience supervisory and/or management experience for a large & complex organization, with multiple locations

Critical Skills
  • Proven track record of developing creative recruiting strategies that drive overall business effectiveness
  • Ability to translate business plans to recruitment strategies
  • Excellent relationship management skills-ability to establish credibility and partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, needs, risk and plans for actions
  • Expert knowledge of employment law, OFFCP, EEO, corporate recruitment practices
  • Project management skills and the ability to execute fast paced and high-volume recruitment efforts
  • Strong customer orientation and influencing skills

Additional Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or a related degree
  • In-depth experience in competency-based interview and assessment techniques
  • Knowledge of workforce planning (forecast, identify specific needs, skills, locations, and behaviors)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); preferably Workday
