Detailed Description:

  • Works with operations to manage the daily operations of the use of radioactive material
  • Interprets new and existing regulations, advises leadership on technical and regulatory issues regarding the strategic direction of the radiation safety program applies strategic measures as appropriate
  • Established the radiation safety training program for designated employees to ensure that only authorized, qualified individuals work with radiation
  • Provides leadership and guidance to other employees in the organization assigned radiation safety responsibilities
  • Develops or assists with the development and implementation of procedures and processes consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient tracking and testing of radioactive devices
  • Develops or assists with the development and implementation of HSE programs, procedures, and processes
  • Communicates with regulatory officials regarding permit modifications and compliance status
  • Represent the Company and our values with integrity while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards with all interactions
  • Adhere to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Proficiency in understand and communicating regulations, risk management, and risk assessment skills
  • Proficiency in HSE procedure development, auditing, incident investigation, and documentation techniques Proficient in the use of computers and applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Maintain professional demeanor in all situations and with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, and third parties
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation
