We are urgently seeking experienced Lead Battery DC Power Technecian to join our growing team in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

We are looking for one lead and one assitant to cover Minnesota territory with opportunites nationwide.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and performing quarterly battery maintenance on large uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems.
  • Responsible for leading installation and removal of batteries and peripheral equipment for UPS systems.
  • Must be proficient with performing battery preventative maintenance per I.E.E.E standards.

Job Qualifications:

  • This job will require travel Monday - Friday, Schedule and hours may vary depending on the project.
  • Must be able to treat people with respect, keep commitments, inspire the trust of others and work with integrity and principles to uphold organizational values.
  • Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe or unsecured conditions, use equipment and materials properly.
  • Strong communication skills are required. Express concerns and thoughts in written and verbal form, exhibit good listening and comprehension skills, keep others adequately informed, use appropriate communication methods and tools.
  • Teamwork environment - Establish and maintain effective relations with internal and external customers, exhibits tact and consideration, offer assistance and support to co-workers when needed.
  • Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must be dependable and follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, complete tasks on time, or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Must be mechanically and electrically inclined.
  • Experience with UPS Battery swaps, battery testing, and UPS battery maintenance. DC power, telecom / central office work, or other electrical-related skills.
  • Meet or exceed customer and internal company project completion goals and quality standards.
  • Must follow OSHA, NFPA70e, I.E.E.E, and company safety procedures.
  • Ability to work various work shifts and varied weekly schedules to meet customer completion needs.
  • Must be willing to undergo a drug screen and background checks.

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires travel.
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 Lbs.
  • Work in high noise level conditions.
  • Must have experience or the ability to learn the operation of various types of test equipment.'
